On my second day in Bermuda, I took the #7 bus to Horseshoe Bay Beach. This is one of Bermuda's iconic pink sand beaches along the south shore of the island. I tried to go last year, but the road in was closed due to construction. This year I was able to walk in and experience the beautiful new wooden steps that lead down to the beach. I walked along the beach, from the near end to the far end. It was very windy so I found a semi-sheltered spot and sat on the sand with my Moleskine watercolor notebook and my painting supplies. I did this quick watercolor study and attempted to capture the cloudy, yet gorgeous vista before me.
